Walking into a legal cannabis shop in Thailand for the first time can feel like a lot. Here’s a calm, honest walkthrough so you arrive knowing exactly what happens — and what doesn’t.
01 — Age verification & ID
Every licensed shop in Thailand must verify that customers are at least 20 years old. Bring a passport or Thai ID. You’ll show it once at the door — that’s it. No forms, no registration.

02 — The menu — what to look for
Most shops display flowers in glass jars with a label showing strain name, THC %, and type (Sativa / Indica / Hybrid). At OG Weed we also list terpene profile and the farm it came from. If a label is missing — ask. Transparency is standard.

03 — Talking to the budtender
The staff behind the counter is called a “budtender.” Tell them three things: your experience level, what you’re hoping to feel (relaxed, uplifted, sleepy), and whether you prefer sweet, fruity, or earthy flavors. They’ll point you to 2–3 options. Smell them. Pick the one that speaks to you.
04 — How pricing works
Flower is sold by weight — typically 1g, 3.5g, or 7g. Prices at reputable shops range from 300 – 900 THB per gram depending on quality tier. Pre-rolls usually run 150–300 THB. Concentrates and edibles have fixed per-unit prices
05 — Paying & going home
Cash, PromptPay, and cards are accepted. You’ll get a sealed container with your purchase and a receipt. Keep the receipt — it’s proof of legal purchase. Consumption in public is not allowed; enjoy at home or at designated lounges
